A special thanks to Gerry and his wife for letting me visit and taking the time to show me their wonderful Keokuk Geode collection. Gerry has been collecting geodes since 1993. He has a cool demeanor and he always has a smile on his face. Gerry is known by his peers for having a "sixth sense" when collecting. He always finds the good ones. We think he follows his rockhound nose right to where the good ones are hiding. We've collected geodes from several of the same locations, yet he has some I have never seen before. Gerry also likes to cut and polish agates, geodes, and whatever else needs some T-L-C. He has a variety of excellent geode specimens to view. Above are just a few. ENJOY.
