Ken became interested in Keokuk geode collecting when the Avenue of the Saints highway project unearthed new beds of geodes on their way through Missouri. This location is known by geode collectors as the "HWY 61 Roadcut". He wrote and published an article on this special collecting site in the July/August 2003 issue of Rocks & Minerals magazine. He has had geode fever ever since. Ken now spends his free time walking up stream and river beds collecting geodes. He has put together an impressive collection. Ken provided the photos of his fine specimens. Enjoy!
